Description
Vacuum tank semitrailers use suction to pull huge quantities of liquids, sludges, and other materials into the tank, typically cylindrical and constructed of aluminum, carbon steel, or stainless steel.
Vacuum tank semi-trailers are often equipped with a combination of pumping equipment, suction hoses, discharge valves, blowout connections, piping, drains, and motors or power take-off (PTO) systems for loading and unloading material from grease traps, treatment plants, manholes, drilling sites, and environmental spill sites.
In addition, these trailers are often equipped with manways, ladders, rear entry walkways, and stairs for easy, safe operator access. Hose trays, air ride and spring suspensions, stiffening rings, and tandem or triple rear axles are common.
